Join me on this exclusive course and let me show you the fun you can have using a heat press! We'll begin by painting heat transfer paint onto paper, which will be used to transfer the dye onto fabrics using the heat press. This creates the most amazing backgrounds, which are beautiful to embroider into. We will experiment by creating masks made from different shapes and natural materials such as leaves and feathers to build up colourful layers. We can also try out other found materials and threads to produce our own stencils, which can give some very interesting results. Or how about playing with geometric shapes to design your own Matisse inspired patterns or pictures, using cut out shapes or torn paper? There are many wonderful effects to be made and the results are stunning, with infinite variations possible, depending on how you paint and print your paper. Paint and some materials provided, but you will need to bring some of your own pieces of synthetic fabric (e.g. white acrylic felt, lutrador, polyester fabrics) to print on to.
